Summer is here and we are all ready to enjoy and spend as much time in the sun as possible. Most of us know that too much sunlight can cause sunburn and skin damage. But did you know that the sun’s ultraviolet (UV) rays can also be harmful to your eyes?

Ultraviolet radiation, whether from natural sunlight or indoor artificial light, can damage nearly all ocular structures, the cornea and lens, as well as the surface tissues of the eye.

The sun emits energy (radiation) in many different forms. The sunlight we see is also a form of light. The heat we feel from the sun is different. A third type of ultraviolet (UV) light is also invisible to the eye. Ultraviolet rays cause sunburn. It can also damage your eyes and impair your vision.

Exposure to UV rays can cause painful short-term damage to the eyes in the form of sunburn. However, the long-term cumulative effects of UV radiation (cataracts, pterygium, macular degeneration) can dramatically impact your ability to see clearly and enjoy healthy vision over the long term.

Our unprotected eyes are most exposed to UV rays in the morning and afternoon, not just at noon as is commonly thought. At noon, the sun is overhead and does not shine directly into our eyes.

By minimizing your exposure to UV light, you can maintain healthy vision for as long as possible. Keep cool and protect your eyes.

aloe vera juice

Aloe vera has numerous benefits, including eye health. You can apply chilled aloe vera juice to your eyes using a cotton ball. This reduces eye fatigue and provides a pleasant effect on the eyes. If you have dry skin around your eyes, the sugars in aloe vera will help keep your skin moisturized. Amino acids soften the skin and zinc tightens pores.

Aloe vera extract contains ingredients that can help reduce eye irritation and dryness. Aloe vera does not harm eye cells at low concentrations. It is important to avoid getting aloe vera gel directly into your eyes. Doing so can cause burning, inflammation, redness, and other side effects.

Amla

Amla helps in improving and maintaining eyesight. Amla is rich in vitamin C and antioxidants, which helps in gaining better eyesight. Amla’s powerful antioxidants neutralize free radicals and protect your eyes from their harmful effects. Consumption of amla or use of amla-based eye drops helps maintain eye health. To improve the eyesight and maintain good health, you should drink amla juice. You can also try massaging amla oil around your eyes to promote vision.

This vitamin-rich berry also strengthens the eye muscles. Protects vision by strengthening eye muscles.

Another great benefit of amla is that it prevents cataracts. Amla strongly inhibits free radicals, which are one of the causes of cataracts. Regular intake of amla can prevent cell damage and maintain long-term eye health.

Dry eye is a common symptom in summer. Amla contains cooling properties that soothe and moisturize the eyes, reducing dryness, itching, and discomfort. Consuming amla regularly or using amla-based eye drops may reduce dry eye symptoms.

In today’s digital age, many people spend long hours looking at screens, leading to eye strain. Regular consumption of amla juice can cure eye problems such as eye strain, fatigue, discomfort, redness, swelling, and puffiness.

Amla juice is rich in essential vitamins that keep our eyes stronger and healthier.

papaya

Papaya is a juicy and nutritious tropical fruit with a unique flavor that is not usually enjoyed by many. Papaya is a soft, fleshy fruit that can be used in a variety of dishes. Papaya is great for eye health as it contains nutrients that support eye health. It contains antioxidants such as vitamins A, C, E, carotenoids, lutein, and zeaxanthin, which protect your eyes from harmful high-energy blue light that can damage your eye’s retina. It also prevents the development of cataracts, glaucoma, and other chronic eye diseases. Antioxidants help prevent retinal degeneration that causes various eye diseases, and vitamin A strengthens the cornea.

Consuming this nutritious fruit daily improves your overall vision and protects you from infections.

blueberry

Called nature’s superheroes, these powerful purple gems are a rich source of antioxidants, especially anthocyanins, and vitamins C and E, all of which may protect vision and slow the progression of blindness. It is famous for Its deep blue hue is the result of anthocyanins, powerful compounds that keep the eye’s blood vessels healthy and strengthen the retina, further protecting vision. Regular consumption of blueberries for several months improves blood flow and visual field defects in the eyes. Blueberries have vasodilating properties and the ability to improve blood flow, contributing to this important aspect of eye health. These berries promote overall eye function by increasing circulation to the eye, and may also help alleviate conditions such as glaucoma, which involves impaired blood flow to the optic nerve. Protecting your eyes from UV rays by wearing sunglasses and a hat, having regular eye exams, and effectively managing conditions like high blood pressure and diabetes are all part of maintaining optimal eye health during the summer months. It is important.
