JAIPUR: Ayurvedic practitioners are adopting modern techniques for diagnosing diseases, resulting in the decline of the ancient technique of ‘nadi pariksha’ (pulse diagnosis). Modern medical doctors have long abandoned this method and instead relied on mechanized equipment for diagnosis. To revive this ancient technique, the National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA), Jaipur, a center-run medical institute, conducted a workshop on Nadi Pariksha on Thursday. The workshop aimed to equip students of Ayurveda with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to understand and apply this ancient diagnostic method. The NIA has identified Nadi guru Vaidya GP Upadhyay, the current president of Bhartiya Vaidyak Samanvaya Samiti, Nagpur, and Nadi guru Vaidya Sanjay Kumar from Nadi Gurukul, Mumbai. – Mr. Chajed was invited as a workshop leader. Disease identification and diagnosis. Mastery of Nadi Pariksha is achieved through consistent practice,” Chhajed said.point
