Compass Health, a behavioral health care provider, announced that comedian, author and actor Aparna Nancherla will be the keynote speaker at its 7th Annual Building Community of Hope Gala fundraiser on April 27th.
The event will raise funds and awareness for Compass Health’s children, youth and family services and will be held at the Tulalip Resort Casino. Tickets are currently on sale until April 16th.
At the gala, Nancherla will perform a short comedy piece and there will be an extended Q&A session where attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and hear her thoughts on mental health. The evening will also include a raffle, silent auction, sit-down dinner and remarks from other Compass Health representatives, according to the release.
In his stand-up work, Nancherla has used humor to confront personal mental health issues and has openly talked about his struggles with depression and anxiety.
