In an interview Hindi RusLalita revealed that Anant was very religious from childhood. As a child, he had asked his grandmother Kokila Ambani to build a temple for him and prayed there every day. She also said that the entire Ambani family was religious.
“One day, my son told Kokilamami (Kokilaben Ambani) that he wanted a mandir on his study desk. So she bought him a mandir. Then he needed a lamp and flowers. So we bought him a lamp and flowers. Then he started performing puja on his study desk. He used to perform puja every day. Anant is a spiritual person. The whole family is spiritual,” she said.
De Silva also revealed that the Ambani family’s second son never wanted any material gifts for his birthday and had been passionate about animal welfare since childhood.
“He never asks for gifts. He’s never asked for material gifts. He just says, ‘Give me money. I’ll buy an animal. I’ll help an animal,'” she said.
The pediatric nurse shared her joy at being invited to the entire family wedding of Mukesh and Nita Ambani. She added that her three children Akash, Isha and Anant are always warm and loving whenever she meets them. “Whether I am in London, Paris or wherever, if they are there, I get the same warm embrace. I get the same love from them,” she said.
Anant Ambani married his longtime girlfriend Radhika Merchant in a lavish four-day ceremony this month.
