A three-day competency-based dynamic syllabus building workshop for Ayurveda Siddha Unani (ASU) postgraduate programs organized by the National Commission for Indian Health Systems (NCISM) under the Ministry of Ayush will be held from March 18th. The event was held at all schools until the 20th. Indian Institute of Ayurveda, Goa.
Dr. Sumbul Rehman, Department of Ilmul Advia, Ajmal Khan Tibiya University, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) participated in the workshop as an expert. He also participated in an online pre-workshop exercise to develop the framework for his PG syllabus on research methodology and medical statistics.

In another development, arguing for the central government, Solicitor General (SG) Tushar Mehta had on January 23 told the Supreme Court that the AMU had given up its minority status with the passing of the Parliament Act of 1920 and therefore now stated that they cannot claim minority status.
The SG approached the court under the provisions of the unamended AMU Act, 1920, arguing that the university had a national, non-minority character from the beginning.
Mehta said that in the pre-independence era, there were some institutions that were not affiliated with the British Royal Family and did not award British degrees. But many people do, and AMU was one of them. He further claimed that the founders of AMU had pledged allegiance to Britain.
