A new luxury wellness retreat has opened in Palm Beach, Florida.
Amrit Ocean Resort is fully committed to the wellness vacation trend that’s sweeping the industry: its expansive spa blends Eastern medical principles with Western luxury and is located on Palm Beach’s Singer Island, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
“Amrit is the next generation of luxury wellness resort and we are thrilled to be able to elevate the mind, body and spirit of our guests,” said Reggie Cooper, General Manager of Amrit Ocean Resort. “After 20 years of dedicated work by the Barot family, their vision of a place to enrich lives through practicing the Five Pillars of Wellness and working with a personal wellness coach has finally come to fruition.”
The Sanskrit word “amrit” translates to “elixir of life,” and Amrit Ocean Resort uses a few more words from this ancient Indian language to describe its wellness-focused offerings. Every part of the resort — accommodation, wellness services, and food — is based around five pillars: mindfulness, nutrition, fitness, relaxation, and sleep.

Amrit’s 155 wellness-inspired rooms, including 25 suites, are all oceanfront and embody the serene elegance of the entire hotel. Each room features floor-to-ceiling windows, rain showers and deep soaking bathtubs, luxury bath salts and scrubs, yoga mats, bathrobes and slippers, and a wellness minibar.
The resort features 40 two-bedroom Sky Villas with panoramic ocean views and oversized balconies. Additionally, Amrit offers meeting and event space with over 10,000 square feet of indoor space and approximately 3.5 acres of oceanfront space available for conferences, meetings, weddings and other private events.
Wellness Services
The heart of the resort is the 103,000+ square foot Amrit Wellness & Spa, a four-story facility with indoor and outdoor spaces that offers wellness services that combine European, Chinese and Indian approaches.
Highlights include Florida’s first indoor and outdoor hydrotherapy circuit and one of South Florida’s few luxury hammams (traditional Oriental steam baths). The hotel offers an extensive menu of treatments in 25 treatment rooms, 12 of which have in-room showers, two deluxe couples suites with private steam showers and ocean views, and a Thai massage room.
Guests can enjoy a 3,500-square-foot cardio studio and a fitness center with rooms for yoga, pilates, cycling, meditation and other classes. The spa also has two wellness retail stores and beauty options coming soon.
Guests who want a deeper dive and personalized wellness plan can be paired with an on-site certified professional or use Amrit’s Personal Wellness Support System (PWSS), a web-based platform that customizes their stay at Amrit and suggests treatments that are right for the guest.
Dining options
Amrit has several dining options including the wellness-based main restaurant TULA, a grab-and-go lobby market called Jeevi, which offers snacks, juices, smoothies and teas, and the lobby bar and lounge LALA. Two new restaurants are scheduled to open in the fall: beachside restaurant TAZA and vegan-only restaurant AYRE.
Executive Chef Simon Apollonio directs all restaurant menus, catering for all types of dietary needs.
