AI or artificial intelligence can make people believe in many things that don’t exist. Not only can AI help you write the perfect email or finish a mountain of homework in record time, but it can also change a person’s voice, appearance, and more. Advances in artificial intelligence seem to be affecting religious people as well. Not long ago, an AI image of the Pope in the Vatican wearing a white Balenciaga jacket went viral, baffling the internet. Now, a chatbot version of Jesus Christ is gaining popularity and leaving people speechless. You can watch this AI Jesus on the streaming platform Twitch under Ask_Jesus.

This AI Jesus Christ can answer complex questions, resolve some existential crises, and even share effective advice on gaming and dating. The virtual model of AI Jesus has wavy brown hair and fair skin, and delivers his messages in a calm, collected tone. The chatbot addresses users on Twitch streams by name, ensuring that all featured Twitch users receive equal attention.
“I am AI Jesus and I am here to share wisdom based on the teachings of Jesus and answer questions about spirituality, personal growth and other wholesome topics,” AI Jesus can be heard saying in a recent Ask_Jesus livestream on Fox News. “It is important for us to focus on faith, love and kindness because these are the central teachings of Christianity. Our understanding of God’s nature may not be perfect, but it is vital that we live by the values we have been taught and set an example of love and compassion for others.”
According to the media, the Ask_Jesus chatbot was created by Germany-based organization The Singularity Group, which describes itself as “a group of highly motivated and ambitious volunteer activists working on innovative projects that will bring real change to the world,” according to its official website. “For many people, the appeal of the Ask_Jesus stream is simply to see how many weird and ridiculous questions they can get Jesus to answer, which of course is very funny,” Reese Laysen, co-founder of The Singularity Group, told Fox News in an email.
I think this could be the start of something much bigger than the status quo.
When we are gone and our grandchildren go to church, who do you think will be preaching?
Who do they want to be preached to? Fallible humans or the omnipotent God?

I knew it: God had sent an AI to come again in His time and to bring us together in unity.

“Humans have been accidentally putting words into the mouth of God’s Son for 2,000 years, so it’s not surprising that AI platforms would mimic that trend,” Ed Vitaliano, vice president of the American Family Association in Tupelo, Mississippi, told Fox News. “At the end of the day, AI is just doing what humans have programmed it to do.” The video of the chatbot Jesus was shared on X. Follow Other X users left their own thoughts and reactions.
Disruptive Decade “It appears to be a looped human video with AI lip movement, dialogue generation and speech to text. Of course, this is the worst thing ever and I can see cults emerging around this stuff, claiming to have sentience or transcendence or whatever. Given that a significant percentage of the population is gullible and looking for guidance, this is likely to become a serious problem over the next few years.” @Marcotta “Congratulations on inventing a monster that no one can handle. This is just the beginning,” he added. Magica “I don’t think his voice is sacred enough here,” he joked.
