On March 26, the K&H Resource Center gathered friends, family, and other community members to celebrate the accomplishments of participants in the South Carolina 1890 Research and Extension Nutrition Class. Held at the historic Liberty Hill AME Church, the event featured music, prayer and inspiring words from guest speakers that resonated with attendees.
Ronnie Rose captivated audiences with his compelling journey and dedication to community service. Born and raised in South Carolina, Rose’s upbringing and family values shaped his determination to make a difference. Rose, who has a background in psychology and counseling, has contributed to a variety of community initiatives, including the South Carolina State University Santee 1890 Research and Extension where he served as the Wateree Regional Director.
As the event began, Rose thanked her family and acknowledged the support and guidance she received throughout her life. He emphasized the importance of community partnerships in fostering positive change and praised the collaborative efforts of community organizations in promoting health and wellness.
Reflecting on his personal experiences, Mr. Rose spoke about pivotal moments that emphasized the importance of living a healthy lifestyle.
