An ingredient commonly used in salad garnishes and baking recipes may be the key to preventing gray hair.

The beauty guru revealed how combining it with honey improves its absorption into healthy hair.

According to Medical News Today, gray or gray hair can appear at almost any time in your life.

This coloration is normal as we age, but factors such as stress, genetics, vitamin deficiencies, and hair dyes can also play a role.

Studies have shown that a balanced diet and proper hair care can help slow down the process of hair graying.

However, if the cause is genetics or aging, the process cannot be stopped or reversed.

Juan Abi (@abienergy22) has amassed over 1 million followers on TikTok where he shares natural health remedies.

She went viral on the app after she revealed how black sesame seeds are used in Chinese medicine.

She said gray hair around the crown of the head, swelling of the face, and pain in the ankles and lower back are caused by a lack of nutrients that enhance kidney function.

Juan recommended blending 1 cup of raw black sesame seeds with 1 teaspoon of honey.

She said you can store it in a jar and consume one teaspoon every day.

More than 17,000 viewers liked the video, and hundreds took to the comments section to thank her for sharing her advice.

“Where have you been all this time? I’ve been half gray since I was 25 and so are my brothers,” one person said.

“I just turned 35 a few days ago and I’ve got a lot of new gray hair,” another wrote.

“Thank you, I’m 35 and have had more gray hair than ever in the past year,” added a third man.

Fresh black sesame seeds are $9.99 at Walmart.

The “slightly bitter” seeds are rich in copper and “enriched” with manganese, iron, calcium, magnesium and zinc, according to the manufacturer.

“I eat black sesame for its nutritional value,” said one person.

“When ground and added to baking, sauces, and salads, it definitely delivers that wonderful sesame flavor.”

“These black sesame seeds are of good quality,” said another.

According to Healthline, black sesame seeds have been cultivated for thousands of years from a plant called Sesamum indicum.

It contains nutrients such as iron, zinc, fatty acids, and antioxidants.

Sesame oil is found in many hair and skin products.

However, more research is needed to understand whether eating black sesame seeds is beneficial for hair and skin.
