ADM Animal Nutrition expands recall to include 17 more lots of chicken, pig, and rabbit feed products

Certain lots may contain high levels of magnesium, sodium, calcium, and/or phosphorus.May be harmful to chickens, pigs and rabbits

Quincy, Illinois, April 11, 2024–(BUSINESS WIRE)–ADM Animal Nutrition, a division of ADM (NYSE: ADM), is expanding a recall announced on March 30, 2024 due to elevated levels of magnesium, sodium, and calcium. Includes additional products: and/or phosphorus: Pen Pals® Chicken Starter-Grower (product numbers 70009AAA46 and 70009AAA44). Pen Pal Egg Maker Complete (Product Number 70010AAAE4); MaxLean GF Concentrate (Product Number 12354AAA); ShowTec Sow Feed with Thermal Care (Product Number 12343AAA); ShowTec BB 18 BMD (Product Number 18241AGNE4); ShowTec BB 18 BMD/DBZ ( ShowTec Hi Fat 18 BMD (Product Number 18007AGNE4); ShowTec Lo Fat 15 BMD (Product Number 15350AGN); MoorMan’s ShowTec Hi Fat 16 BMD (Product Number 16700AGN). MoorMan’s ShowTec Burst Starter with DF DEN (Product Number 24320CVW). MoorMan’s ShowTec Sale Burst with DF CTC/DEN (Product Number 24320AYWE4). Pen Pals® Professional Show Rabbit Feed (Product Number 81657AAA); Pen Pals Professional Rabbit 18 (Product Number 80033AAA).

Elevated sodium levels can cause increased water consumption, reduced feed efficiency, reduced egg production and growth rate, and can be fatal to chickens. Elevated levels of calcium and/or phosphorus can cause reduced feed intake and feed conversion in pigs, and elevated levels of magnesium and sodium cause loose stools, reduced growth rate, and wasting in rabbits. There is a possibility.

4 customers have reported complaints about ShowTec BB 18 BMD ingestion. Three of her cases were related to low intake, and one reported that the animal was refusing to eat and had abdominal pain. 3 customers complained about low consumption related to Pen Pals Professional Rabbit 18, 1 customer complained about low consumption related to his ShowTec Sale Burst (with DF CTC/DEN) from MoorMan I filed a complaint about.
