Abbey Clancy seems to have it all, with a happy marriage and family, a successful podcast, and lucrative brand and modeling contracts. But the star opened up about her ongoing battle with anxiety, revealing everything she does to keep it in check and prevent it from “ruining everything.”
Liverpool-born Abbey, who is married to footballer Peter Crouch, launched her solo podcast project ‘Exhibition A’ and revealed she has a habit of being ‘scared’ of always thinking the worst, and spoke out about anxiety earlier this year. I asked for help to deal with it.
Recalling one particular episode, Abbey revealed that her symptoms were triggered by wearing jeans that were too tight, and after googling the possibility of a disease like multiple sclerosis, she visited her GP. Ta. After she was reassured by doctors that everything was fine, the mother of four began undergoing hypnotherapy instead.
She told MailOnline: “I really suffer from health anxiety and the worst thing you can do is Google the symptoms. That’s what I do all the time and I push myself to overcome it. I had to train.”
“I sometimes scare myself by self-diagnosing myself, and I wouldn’t recommend anyone do that. But this is something I’ve been working on, and I’ve tried hypnotherapy for that. And it works. It works.”
She described herself as an “extreme worrier” but said hypnotherapy treatment was helping her change her thought process. She revealed that she did not seek a formal diagnosis of anxiety as she was well aware of all the signs and that she incorporates simple changes in her daily life to alleviate the symptoms. she stated.
She continued, “It’s awful, but I’m dealing with it and I’ve talked about it before on the podcast.”
