A new two-storey spa with striking interiors and panoramic views of the Tramuntana Mountains has opened in Mallorca, Spain.
Constructed from Mallorcan stone walls, the spa is designed to seamlessly integrate with its surroundings, blending naturally into the landscape and lush vegetation.
The retreat was brought to life at the 31-room Grand Hotel Sonnet, a boutique hotel co-owned and operated by Cortesin Hotels.
In partnership with Seed to Skin Tuscany, the spa offers a Moroccan hammam-inspired atmosphere and a wide range of wellness and fitness amenities.
Stylish and art-filled boutique hotel in Mallorca, Grand Hotel Son Net, is reopening in 2023 with a brand new spa and wellness area.
Exclusively for hotel guests, the two-storey wellness space features an indoor saltwater pool, five treatment rooms, a thermal circuit and a modern fitness room, as well as spectacular views of the UNESCO World Heritage Serra de Tramuntana region.
Located in the picturesque Puigpunyent Valley, Grand Hotel Son Net Dates stands on a hilltop with a terracotta-pink façade dating back to the 17th century. The property is co-owned and managed by Cortesin Hotels.
Built from Mallorcan stone walls, the new spa is designed to seamlessly integrate with its surroundings, blending naturally with the landscape and abundant vegetation. Large windows offer far-reaching views of olive groves, almond trees and citrus groves, allowing visitors to disconnect from the outside world and reconnect with both themselves and the abundant nature that surrounds them.
Part of the spa’s vision included creating a space that, despite being new construction, would exude a timeless feel.
The spa’s thermal circuit includes a sauna, Turkish bath, plunge pool and ice fountain. Natural light pours in through vaulted skylights into the indoor pool area, evoking the atmosphere of a traditional Moroccan hammam. Marble accents and warm paint colors create an inviting space with a palatial feel that recalls the main hotel’s terracotta façade.
The spa offers a wide range of facials and massages by Seed to Skin Tuscany, as well as hair and nail services, makeup sessions, beauty treatments such as brow and eyelash tinting, as well as personal training and yoga sessions amidst tranquil views.
