Juniper Reserve
Nestled amongst 1,000 year old juniper forests on 640 beautiful acres in the vast high desert of central Oregon. Juniper Reserve is a travel-worthy retreat with outstanding spa, fitness, meditation and wellness services (not to mention the oversized outdoor pool with hot tub and barrel sauna, with stunning views of the petrified “ghost forest” and the iconic Three Sisters mountain range).
Nighttime snowshoe tour to see a blazing bonfire
In addition to ongoing classes and events, the resort also offers curated wellness retreat weekends at least once a season that combine a winning mix of fitness and meditation classes, hands-on workshops, and fun outdoor adventures. Summer itineraries include yoga classes, plant walks and medicine-making workshops, hikes at beautiful Smith Rock, and moonlight paddle tours on Cascade Lakes. In the winter, you can take part in sound baths, cacao and kava intention-setting rituals in luxurious tepees, and evening stargazing and snowshoeing sessions, concluding with a roaring bonfire (with plenty of time to soak up the resort’s tranquility, of course).
Outdoor yoga session with views of the Cascade Mountains
While many guests come to Juniper to rejuvenate and regain balance, they also enjoy other first-class amenities, including a world-class golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus and Tom Fazio, pickleball courts and a variety of dining options ranging from hike-ready casual dining to creative tasting menus showcasing the bounty of the Pacific Northwest.
Guests will don headlamps and explore the resort’s recently discovered ancient lava caves.
The sound bath is just one of the activities held in the resort’s lava caves.
And don’t miss the special events, tours and classes that take place in the ancient lava caves, formed by rivers of molten lava long ago and undiscovered until recently. The resort offers a variety of ways to experience the vast caverns, from kid-friendly flashlight tours to concerts and a cappella performances, wine dinners, marriage proposals, meditation and other wellness classes.
