NEW DELHI: Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud on Thursday inaugurated the state-of-the-art AYUSH Holistic Wellness Center at the Supreme Court premises here for judges, their close relatives and court staff, providing personal and He said he is a proponent of Ayurveda and a holistic lifestyle.
The CJI said he wants to spread the message about the benefits of this age-old Ayurvedic tradition to the rest of the country.

He said the Supreme Court has more than 2,000 employees and 34 judges, and they face a lot of stress in their daily work.
“I thought it was important to consider the overall pattern of life of the staff, not just the judges and their immediate families,” he said.
He also expressed gratitude to AYUSH for expanding the facilities of the Supreme Court.
“I am deeply grateful to all the doctors and AYUSH. They have a great facility in Saket. But we are now taking this to the Supreme Court,” he said.
The CJI said that the facility is very scientifically prepared, including treatment rooms and rest rooms in line with the nature of treatment given to patients.
“I will make it available to the Supreme Court and through it to the entire nation,” he said.
