The hottest workout classes are not new. That’s Pilates, a core-focused routine that first became popular about a century ago.
Pilates, yoga, barre, and other “low-impact” exercise classes are becoming more popular as Americans move away from formerly popular “high-impact” classes such as CrossFit.
But low impact doesn’t necessarily mean “easy.”
