Lindsay John-Tate runs Sakura Spirit, which is based in a dispensary on Chapel Street and specializes in massage, reflexology, aromatherapy, meditation and Reiki healing.
Reiki is a Japanese healing art developed by Mikao Usui in Japan in the early 20th century and has been used as an alternative treatment for cancer patients.
Lindsay detailed her personal experience with Reiki and healing techniques.
She says, “Reiki is a spiritually guided life force energy that flows through all living things. It is an endless supply of divine love in its purest form, flowing around and through you.” It’s a radiant brilliance.”
“For me, Reiki changed the whole world. Growing up, I always wanted to believe that there was something more than just this… Something that exists.
“When I need encouragement, confidence, or find myself spiraling within the constraints of life to find emotional balance, Reiki is my go-to.
“Reiki helps you truly believe that you are enough just as you are and that you are never alone when the entire universe is by your side.”
For Lindsey, the benefits of Reiki can be experienced by humans and animals alike, and the local business owner uses energy healing for her friend’s five cats and her dog Louie, four of whom are shelter animals.
She said: “Before I started offering Reiki as a treatment to my clients alongside massage, reflexology, and aromatherapy, I primarily used Reiki on myself and my family. Of course, that included our five feline friends and our adorable dog Louie.”
“I started using Reiki to make them feel at home, loved and part of the family. Unfortunately, all the rescue stories were a bit sad. I turned to Reiki to help me feel more comfortable and at peace.” I’m at home because I’m scared. ”
Finally, Lindsay encouraged others to experience the benefits of Reiki after seeing firsthand the positive results it can bring.
she said: “I would recommend Reiki to anyone. Anyone and everyone can receive a Reiki treatment or simply learn Reiki on their own.”
“I help so many people feel more at peace with who they are, feel loved, feel less alone, heal physical pain, and overcome things they were initially told they couldn’t do. I’ve seen it. The world is on your doorstep.”
