Cameron Highland: A total of 68 young people from the Church of Christ of the Light, the Chapel of Christ the King, and the Bishop of Bloux, Our Lady of Lourdes embarked on an enriching journey on a youth leadership retreat in a beautiful setting, hosted by the Parish Priest, Fr Peter Anthony. This retreat was a valuable opportunity for young people to grow spiritually and deepen their bonds. Young people explored the depths of their spirituality through engaging sessions and reflective activities, gaining insight and wisdom that will shape their future paths.
The sharing sessions became a platform for heart-to-heart interactions where individuals opened up, shared their emotions, and built stronger connections with each other. These moments of sharing and listening fostered a sense of unity and understanding among a diverse group of participants.
At the heart of the retreat was the opportunity to reconnect with God in the tranquil beauty of Cameron Highlands. Surrounded by lush greenery and breathtaking scenery, the young people found solace and inspiration in their spiritual journey and reaffirmed their commitment to their faith and beliefs.
Our retreat experience was enhanced by exploring the natural wonders of Cameron Highlands. Visits to farms and tea plantations not only provided a glimpse into the region’s agricultural heritage, but also provided moments of awe and appreciation for the wonders of creation.
The highlight of the retreat was the campfire, where laughter, music, and interactive games filled the night air. As the flames danced and crackled, barriers melted away and bonds strengthened across language and cultural differences.
As the retreat drew to a close, the young people returned home with a sense of gratitude and memories that will last a lifetime. The youth leadership retreat not only fostered their spiritual growth, but also deepened their connections with each other and laid the foundation for a vibrant, supportive community.
