FāVS News launches “Spiritual Landscapes” series starting with Buddhism
Breaking news from FāVS staff
In August, FāVS News will introduce a new event series called “Spiritual Landscapes: Exploring Religion in the Inland Northwest.”
This hybrid program will teach you more about the diverse religions that define the Inland Northwest. In the first course, you will learn about different Buddhist practices and hear from local Buddhist communities.
“The goal of our ‘Spiritual Landscapes’ series is to highlight the rich tapestry of religious traditions in the Inland Northwest. By starting with Buddhism, we hope to invite participants to explore both the historical roots and contemporary practices that shape the spiritual diversity of our community,” said Tracey Simmons, executive director and editor of FāVS News.
“This program is designed to deepen understanding, promote dialogue and celebrate the unique religious landscape of our region. We hope no one misses out on this enlightening experience!” she said.
Throughout August and September, speakers will talk about Buddhism through online sessions, after which participants will come together for a field trip to experience a local Buddhist temple (details coming soon).
Cost for the program is $50 and tickets are limited to 30. Guests can RSVP and purchase tickets online here.
After the Buddhist session, we will begin to explore other religions in the region in our “Spiritual Landscapes” series.
Stay tuned for more details.
