SKINCARE fans have shared the unconventional techniques they use to prevent wrinkles.
She explained that this secret is why, at 55, she still has no deep wrinkles on her forehead.
Reddit user Closefromadistance shared some anti-aging beauty tips in a post.
The habits she developed in her 20s have paid off after decades of practice.
“I’ve been using clear medical tape on my face since my late 20s. I’m 55 now and don’t have any deep wrinkles,” she says.
“At least, I don’t think so.”
She initially relied on tape to record her 11 lines of dialogue.
“I started using it because I noticed I was squinting a lot due to my farsightedness, which caused creases in my brow,” she says.
Although the taping technique is now popular among skincare enthusiasts, she explained that she came up with the idea in her late 20s.
“It just occurred to me one day. There was no social media back then,” she says.

Now, I use it whenever I want to take care of my skin.
“I also use clear medical tape here and there on the face to give a little lift when needed,” she says.
She revealed that she initially taped her face with “regular packing tape,” but realized there were some issues and had to change course.
“It was so shiny that people at work looked at me like I was weird and laughed at me because I usually wear eyeshadow on my brows during the day. It was very noticeable!” she said.
She noticed a big change after making the necessary changes to escape public ridicule.
“I tried to share how I did the hack but they didn’t believe it would work. Little did they know I would have the last laugh,” she said.
Using the tape, along with other lifestyle changes, has helped her achieve skin she’s happy with.
She explained that in addition to healthy eating habits, she is very diligent in wearing sunscreen.
“I’m a lifelong distance runner and weightlifter. I don’t drink alcohol, I don’t smoke and I don’t eat a lot of junk food or processed foods,” she said.
“I use Aveeno Positively Ageless products in my skin care routine.
“I live in Seattle and we don’t get any sun for about nine months of the year. But I still wear sunscreen.”
