Innovation: Ayurveda University students receive clinical training
JODHPUR: In a significant development, Vyas Medical College and Hospital and Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Rajasthan Ayurvedic University on Sunday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU), paving the way for joint endeavours in Ayurveda and medicine.
The MoU was signed by Vyas Institute of Medical Sciences’ Dean Manish Vyas, its Vice Chancellor Prof Vaidya Pradeep Kumar Prajapati and Executive Director Prof Govind Sahai Shukla. According to Dean Manish Vyas, the objective of the MoU is to develop new medical technologies and promote innovation and research in various fields.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, both Allopathy and Ayurveda have been embraced as complementary systems and this MoU aims to leverage their potential for future collaboration.
The signing ceremony was attended by Asha Vyas, Managing Director of Vyas Medical City, Dr KC Agarwal, Dean of the University, Dr Ashok Singh Rathore, Director of the Hospital, Dr Brahma Nand Sharma, Deputy Registrar, Dr Manoj Adlakha, among others.
The partnership is expected to open new avenues for Ayurveda students by providing them with clinical training and exposure to modern medicine. The collaboration will also foster research and innovation in the field of Ayurveda, leading to improved healthcare outcomes.
