When I want to block out the outside world and focus, I put on noise cancelling earphones. Sometimes I want to meditate, but I live in an area where outside noise is constant, so earphones or headphones are very convenient. What if there was a device whose primary purpose was to help me meditate, relax and connect with my inner self, with listening to music only a secondary function?

Medispace is a meditation device concept inspired by Himalayan singing bowls. Tibetan bowls help you release stress and get in touch with your body through tapping or touch, and this device does the same thing, but with an urban twist. The device is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, so it’s easy to get it to “sing” while you meditate. Even more modern, it has noise-canceling earphones to help you fully immerse yourself in your meditation.
The device can simulate the changing sounds of over 10 different singing bowls, which makes it feel like you’re actually using a Tibetan bowl when you touch and tap the metal disc on top of the Medispace. The inside acts like a charging case for the earphones, which are part of the meditation experience. The Medispace itself looks like a night cream moisturizer container, which makes sense as it can also be part of your self-care routine. The earphones are similar to your typical listening device, but a bit larger and have a textured/pebbled-like surface.
Pairing a meditation device with earphones is an interesting concept, but we live in a world full of distractions, and sometimes we need all the help we can get to block out the outside world and focus on deep breathing, meditation, and our inner lives.
