Serotonin Anti-Aging Center has signed a multi-center development agreement with a local franchise group to bring the concept to Nassau County.
A franchise company called 4theBOYS-med LLC has signed a contract to open six anti-aging centers in the county, according to a company statement.
Serotonin Anti-Aging Centers is the brainchild of serial entrepreneur Eric Casaburi, who founded the Retro Fitness chain in 2005 and exited it in 2019. Casaburi opened Serotonin’s first location in Windermere, Florida in 2021. The company currently operates 12 centers across six states, including Florida, Virginia, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Jersey and Tennessee, with approximately 100 more in development.
The center offers a variety of services centered around health and wellness.Medical weight loss, hormone replacement therapy, body contouring, cosmetic treatments such as Botox and fillers, infusion therapy, red light therapy and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, etc. Staff includes licensed physicians and personal health coaches.
“From the beginning, Serotonin has been dedicated to helping men and women take control of their lives, optimize their health, and enjoy the aging process while looking and feeling their best,” Casaburi said.
Casaburi discussed the current popularity of weight loss drugs such as Ozempic, Mounjaro and Wegobi, but warned that they should have been accompanied by support for patients who use them.
“A lot of medical facilities just give you a prescription. We provide a health coach, someone who can give you nutritional advice, someone like a personal trainer who can design a workout that’s right for you,” he said.“We know that people are losing muscle mass with these weight loss products. But that’s not the case with our clients, because we give them supplements and vitamins and we provide them with body scans that show muscle mass and visceral fat mass. We also know that these weight loss drugs have side effects. We provide our clients with treatments for that, making them a little easier on the stomach and improving their gut health.”
The total cost to open a Serotonin Anti-Aging Center franchise ranges from $526,999 to $1.26 million. The ideal size for each center is 2,500 to 3,000 square feet, with most being located in high-traffic shopping centers.
Casaburi said the Nassau County franchise group is currently scouting potential locations and expects the first Long Island center to open in the first quarter of next year.
