Samantha Ruth Prabhu is one of the most respected celebrities in showbiz. She has come a long way in showbiz against all odds. Recently, the Khushi actress opened up about her personal struggles, including her divorce from actor Naga Chaitanya and her brave battle with myositis, a rare autoimmune disease.
In an interview with Elle magazine, when asked if there’s anything she wished she had done differently, Samantha replied, “We all wish we could have changed certain parts of our lives. I sometimes wonder if the things I went through were necessary, but looking back, I don’t think I would have had it any other way. I was talking to a friend about this not long ago, and I always thought I hated the last three years, but now I feel like whatever life throws at you, you have to deal with it, and if you can get through it, you’ve won. I feel stronger and more grounded than ever because of the hardships I went through to get here. You could call it a spiritual awakening.”

She further added how spirituality helped her restore her confidence and regain her strength: “Spirituality has been very essential to my personal growth and is reflected in my work. It influences every aspect of my life: communication, awareness, dealing with conflicts. Spirituality has been the strength I needed to overcome many obstacles. In today’s world, with so much pain and illness, we need spirituality more than ever. I believe spirituality can be your best friend and a source of infinite strength.”
Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya got married in 2017 after seven years of dating. The couple first met on the sets of the film “Ye Maaya Chesave” in 2009. The couple decided to separate in October 2021, four years into their marriage. While Samantha is taking a break from work after being diagnosed with myositis, Naga Chaitanya will be seen in “Tandel” opposite Sai Pallavi.
