A new book by Steven Paul Tamburrino, “Borderlands: Children of the Orbital Annals of Arkis Book 1,” has been released by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc.
Borderlands is a story about one of many generations of people who were strengthened and encouraged by their faith in the Creator through the various trials they had to face in the course of history. This opening story will spark the imagination of those who like to observe the process of maturation that the soul goes through when facing different kinds of challenges, from times of identity crisis and deep grief, to the horrors of war and the desperate ways in which people and individuals deal with it. Its relevance lies in its resemblance to the spiritual journey of many pilgrims in our reality who seek the truth of life through a relationship with a real and personal Creator. The unique setting of this story (a fictional universe with its own creation story and planetary system) provides a reasonable background in which real and future pilgrims can freely immerse themselves and enjoy the journey.
About the Author
Steven Paul Tamburrino was born in Los Angeles, California. His main hobby in life (if you can call it that) is exploring, experiencing, appreciating and recreating the beauty present in the world, especially in nature. He does this primarily through artistic endeavors, musical expression, landscaping, running, hiking, biking, swimming and building fantasy worlds in Minecraft. His professional pursuits began with designing circuit boards and ranged to all levels of architectural planning and eventually spatial design and teaching elementary visual arts at academic institutions. He believes that the way humanity interacts with the colors, shapes, sounds, smells and textures of this world is ultimately deeply spiritual. He currently lives a very active “retired” life in Florida, young at heart, healthy in body, mind and soul, enjoying time with his family and walking with his Creator.
