Hyderabad: In an important step towards preserving India’s cultural heritage, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Tunjan Panduripyi Bandar, University of Calicut, Kerala and National Institute of Indian Medical Heritage (NIIMH), Hyderabad. The MoU aims to facilitate the preservation and digitisation of Ayurvedic manuscripts kept at Tunjan Panduripyi Bandar.
During the ceremony, all participants emphasized the importance of preserving these manuscripts through concrete steps in preservation and digitization efforts.
Dr Ravi Narayan Acharya, Secretary General, Central Council for Ayurvedic Scientific Research, New Delhi, participated in the event through video conferencing.Other key figures present at the event were Dr MK Jairaj, Vice Chancellor, Calicut University, Dr M Nasir, Acting Vice Chancellor, Dr EK Satish, Registrar, Dr LG Rijish, Advocate General, Tunjan Panduripi Bhandar, Dr Manju MP, Prof Sivadasan P, Prof Jos T Puttus, Prof Mohammad Hanifa K and Dr Goli Penchala Prasad, Deputy Director, NIIMH, Hyderabad.
