Clermont police video shows acupuncturist Andrew Walsh, 52, getting into a patrol car on July 2 after a patient accused him of sexually assaulting her during a consultation. “She was sexually assaulted by the doctor in the exam room,” Clermont police detective Alexa Dougherty told WESH 2. According to the arrest report, the woman left the appointment and saw Clermont police officers at a nearby convenience store, where they stopped to talk. “She was obviously emotional and really struggling to deal with it, but we were there for her the whole time,” Dougherty said. According to the arrest report, Walsh put his hands under her shirt and began massaging her in an inappropriate manner. At one point, he allegedly said, “I’d love to give you more, but I had to go to another client.” “She must feel very violated,” Dougherty said. “She was taken advantage of and we feel for her.” The victim said she had received massages in the past, but nothing like what she is now alleging. Police are appealing for any other possible victims to come forward. Walsh is being held without bail.

According to the arrest report, the woman left after her appointment and met a Clermont police officer at a nearby convenience store where she parked her car and told him her story.
“She’s obviously been very emotional and has had a really hard time dealing with it, but we’ve been there for her the whole time,” Dougherty said.
According to the arrest report, Walsh reached under the woman’s shirt and began massaging her in an inappropriate manner, at one point saying, “I’d like to give you more massages, but I have to get to other clients.”
“She must feel deeply violated,” Dougherty said. “Her sense of self was exploited and we feel sorry for her.”
The victim stated that she had received massages in past sessions but nothing like what she is currently reporting.
Police are appealing for other possible victims to come forward.
Walsh is being held without bail.
