The secret to beautiful skin has been passed down through generations of a beauty-loving family.
They shared how their mothers and aunts look decades younger thanks to cultural anti-aging secrets.
In a post, a Reddit user shared a traditional item that helps them turn back time (at least that’s how it seems).
“In my culture, Asia, bone broth is a staple food,” they say.
“Everyone in my family has been making bone broth every week for as long as they’ve been alive,” they added.
All they knew was that several members of the family had been lying about their real ages to deceive others.
“My aunts and my mom all have amazing skin so there must be something to it,” they said.
“My mother is in her 70s but looks like she’s in her 50s. My aunt is almost 95 but looks like she’s in her 70s,” they continued.
They even avoid products that are known to be effective against age-prone skin.
“Also, they never wear sunscreen. Too many chemicals, etc.”

“It may be genetic, but I think bone broth definitely helps.”
Other users were very impressed and wanted to know more about the age-reversing recipe.
They made sure the soup was made from scratch and not pre-packaged.
“From start to finish, this entire process takes about three hours,” they said.
The Reddit user admitted that for years people have been asking her for the recipe, but she’s only been able to give half the answer – “the easy part.”
The other half, the so-called “herbs and bits,” remained even more mysterious.

They explained that these “herbs and bits and pieces” were an assortment of dried goods that their mother would buy from a Chinese grocery/herb store.
Some of this skincare magic is still top secret.
“We also looked at the packaging and even though there was a variety of things inside, they all had the same label – ‘seafood’ or some kind of Chinese character,” they said.
“When I asked my mom to translate it, she said, ‘Oh, it’s (Chinese name), but the characters say ‘seafood,'” they added.
“I’m sure some of the things she puts in there are dried goji berries, almonds, and dried scallops, but there’s also a ton of other things I don’t recognize. I’m not much help, sorry.”
You might not know exactly all of the ingredients your family uses, but if you want to start with at least one item, Navitas Organic Goji Berries are on sale on Amazon for $11.88 a bag.
The brand explained how these particular berries have been used in ancient Chinese medicine to support longevity for thousands of years.
