Yantra Studio will open in September this year in the former New Museum of Contemporary Art, Nethercornsford, King Street.
The business, founded by Abbie Hoffman, will offer hot yoga, barre and pilates classes at the location, all led by experienced instructors.
“I’m excited to present the Yantra,” said Abby, who has been teaching yoga for 23 years.

“Our mission is simple: to empower individuals to embrace health and wellness through movement, mindfulness and community.
“Twenty years ago, in 2004, I opened The Yoga Room in Norwich, the first dedicated yoga space in our great city.
“It was a bit rough around the edges at the time, but YouTube yoga star Kino McGregor chose us as his first stop in the UK.

“We also welcomed members of the Norwich City football team on their return to the Premier League in 2003-4 and found yoga to be a very important part of their training regimen.
“Coincidentally, I used to teach classes in the co-working space that is now Studio Inn, and I always thought it would make a great yoga center.”

The studio will be renovated over the summer by Abby and her creative team.
The building was previously home to JB Homes and Broadlands Housing after architect Andrew Gibbs carried out a multi-million dollar renovation of the area in the mid-2000s.
The building and studios are fully accessible with ground level entrances, ramps and toilet facilities.

A key pillar of the studio’s mission is accessibility, with all classes being beginner-friendly and a range of pricing plans, memberships and class packs available.
Discounts will be available for NHS staff, teachers and students, and a range of community-led activities and classes will be available for those on low incomes and those with special health concerns.
Yantra Studio’s grand opening will be held the weekend of September 7 and 8. There will be free classes, talks, and a celebratory gong/sound bath on Saturday, September 8, with Spiritual Flow gong master Emrys Skye.
