DUMERSTON — Scott Farm and Vermont Insight Meditation Center are teaming up to host a delicious, fun and scenic Crepe Night on July 10.
Crepe Night is a family-friendly monthly event held the second Wednesday of each month from May through September at Scott Farm (707 Kipling Rd., Dummerston). It’s a time to celebrate harvest, simple, delicious food, and community in a great, picnic-style setting. Music is provided by local musicians. Outdoor and indoor tables and chairs are provided, along with picnic blankets, folding lawn chairs, and a spacious grassy hillside that’s perfect for barefoot fun. Each month, a different local non-profit organization co-hosts the event and benefits from the proceeds of the evening.
The event runs from 5:30pm to 7:30pm and tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children under 12. Each ticket includes a savory dinner crepe (galette), a sweet dessert crepe and a side salad. Drinks will be available for purchase.
“Crepe Night is such a fun event,” says Simon Renaud, General Manager of Scott Farms. “Sitting outside eating local, handcrafted food with good friends and a great view is a great way to spend a Vermont summer evening and a powerful way to support organizations in the community doing important work.”
Vermont Insight Meditation Center is a small Buddhist community center in the heart of Brattleboro dedicated to the study and practice of Insight Meditation (Vipassana). We offer in-person and hybrid (Zoom) meditations, retreats, classes, and talks. For more information, visit https://vermontinsight.org.
Funds raised from the Crepe Night event will be donated to our Retreat Support Fund to support the continuing education of our teachers, practitioners and sangha members, ensuring that the Dharma continues to live on for thousands of years since the time of the Buddha.
