(MENAFN-IANS) Mumbai, July 5 (IANS) Actress Siddhi Sharma, who plays the lead role in the drama “Ishq Jabariya”, has spoken about how her strong spiritual beliefs have helped her improve her acting.
Siddhi, who plays the role of Gurki, feels a deep connection between her faith and the character she plays on screen, which makes her role all the more meaningful and authentic.
Talking about her spirituality, Siddhi said, “I am a very spiritual person. This stems from my mother’s deep devotion to Krishna. All of our family members, especially my mother and I, are consciously religious and have a strong connection with Krishna.”
“Interestingly, the character Gurki that I play in the show Ishq Jabariya is a devotee of Durga Bhavani. Due to the connection between my personal faith and Gurki’s faith, enacting scenes relating to spirituality feels natural and easy for me,” she said.
The actress added, “I have practices in my daily life like chanting and kirtan. Every morning when I arrive on set, I make sure to perform Lord Krishna kirtan in the makeup room. This ritual helps me stay spiritually connected and makes my day peaceful and focused.”
Ishq Jabariya is an inspiring love story about Gurki, a spirited young woman with dreams of becoming a flight attendant. Despite facing challenges with a strict stepmother, Gurki remains optimistic. Along the way, she may encounter unexpected twists and find love in an unexpected place.
