Managing type 2 diabetes (T2D) requires a multi-pronged approach. Lifestyle changes, medications, blood glucose monitoring, and continuing education are key. However, research into T2D management is constantly changing. By continually investigating and refining these pillars of management, healthcare professionals can optimize health outcomes for people with this disease.
Six abstracts presented at the American Diabetes Association’s 84th Scientific Session, held June 21-24 in Orlando, Florida, looked at how various interventions and factors, including diet and nutrition, medications and comorbidities, affect the management of type 2 diabetes.
