The Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents which occurred between June 20th and June 27th, 2024. Due to length, this report has been divided into five parts. This is the third part. Please note that an arrest or indictment does not mean a conviction.
- Non-violent Dispute – Ash Street – Regarding a dispute between brother and sister. We recommended civil remedies for both parties and their mother.
- Threatening – Cook Square – Regarding a previous call and ongoing dispute between a male and female. The male continued to harass the female into the morning and threatened to harm himself. An arrest warrant was issued for Family Violence – Assault and Harassing Communications.
- Stolen Vehicle – Tanglewood Road – Complainant attempted to report a stolen vehicle but was unable to provide any information regarding the vehicle, and there was a title loan taken out on the vehicle, however Complainant was behind on payments and was advised to call the title loan company to ensure the vehicle had not been repossessed.
- Welfare Check – Cook Place – Subject called a crisis hotline stating he was going to cut himself. Call came from an unknown location. Dispatch provided subject’s last known address. Subject was not on scene.
- Welfare Check – Tanglewood Ln; – Subject experiencing a psychotic seizure. Mobile Crisis Team was called to assist. Upon arrival, subject was not experiencing a seizure and would not open the door.
- Dispute – Towler Street – Dispute between two parties, one stated he was leaving the residence and was going to wait for a ride.
- Suspicious Person – Court Street – Reference to an individual at the scene demanding money. Made contact with the individual via Scoops and was instructed not to return.
- Assault – Lacey Street – Victim reported being poked in the eye. Obtained a warrant for arrest for domestic violence.
- Domestic Dispute – Lacey Street – Complainant claimed that his ex-girlfriend had poked him in the eye. Complainant claimed he just wanted the woman away from him. He was advised of the process for a temporary protection order.
- Report prepared. Property Damage – John’s Supermarket – For a two vehicle private property accident with minor paint transfer. Report prepared.
- Traffic Stop – Highway 78 West, Cedar Ridge – Vehicle was stopped for suspended registration, expired license plates and no insurance. The driver was released from the scene of the accident with charges and the vehicle was inventoried and turned over to Taylor’s Towing Service.
- Loud Music – Lacey St/Harris St – Anonymous complaint about loud music. There was music but it was not violating any laws or ordinances. Everything seems fine.
- Entering the 6th Street Automotive Area. In reference to the complainant reporting that an iPad and tools were missing from her vehicle while she was with a friend on Asa Street early today. The complainant believes that the friend’s boyfriend (last name unknown) stole these items. After receiving the report, she is awaiting the serial number for admission to GCIC.
- Domestic Dispute – New Lacey Street – In relation to an altercation. Parties separated overnight. Resolution recommended.
- Report of Dispute – W Spring St; Huddle House. Complainant reported two women present were causing a disturbance after not receiving service after closing time. Both women were escorted from the premises.
- Suspicious Person – Hwy 11 / Pavilion Pkwy – Responded to Walton Co. SO Deputy Sheriff was outside with a person sitting in the intersection. All appears to be OK.
- Firearms – Magnolia Tea – Refers to subjects shooting at each other. Negative contact with someone outside, or any indication of shooting.
