We all desire to live a long and healthy life, but fail to adopt the right methods for it. Now, spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev offers his insights on ensuring physical, mental and spiritual health. His advice can have a positive impact on the overall quality of life. Here are Sadhguru’s comprehensive insights on ensuring a long and healthy life:

1. Whole Foods: Sadhguru talks about the importance of including whole and unprocessed foods in your diet. According to the spiritual leader, a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts and seeds is important for good health. These foods provide essential nutrients to maintain good health and prevent health diseases. He adds that adding fresh fruits to your diet provides your body with essential vitamins, iron and also detoxifies it.

2. Exercise: Another rule Sadhguru recommends for longevity is to exercise. The spiritual guru recommends incorporating yoga and other forms of exercise into your daily life to keep the body, mind and soul in balance. It also helps you maintain a healthy weight, improve your heart health and increase your physical strength. According to Jaggi Vasudev, Surya Namaskar and different types of asanas are designed to maintain physical and mental health.

3. Maintain healthy sleep habits – According to Jaggi Vasudev, healthy sleep habits are another important factor in extending lifespan. Sadhguru recommended going to bed early and waking up early to keep the body healthy. The spiritual leader added that good quality sleep helps in rejuvenating the body and mind, boosting immunity and improving overall mental and physical health.

4. Meditation: Meditation is another important aspect emphasized by Sadhguru for healthy living. According to him, meditation ensures mental health, which is as important as physical health. He said daily meditation helps in achieving inner peace and balance and reduces stress, anxiety and depression. Meditation also helps in improving focus, clarity and emotions.

5. Happiness: Sadhguru also recommends finding happiness in the small things and feeling grateful and content for them. Happiness, he advises, can strengthen the immune system, lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of many health ailments.

6. Connect with Nature: Sadhguru believes that spending time in nature can help anyone get grounded and find inner peace. Nature is calming and reduces stress levels.
