Chelsea:
“Firstly, I meditate and pray in the morning – that’s the first thing I do. Then I take regular walks to centre myself and the world, for my physical and mental wellbeing.”

Brad:
“In a society that values productivity, it’s easy to get caught up in a culture of obsession with work and to neglect peace of mind. When I find myself getting sucked into this cycle, a new strategy I’m adopting is to practice the art of rest and trust that the universe will allow things to flow smoothly without putting me into overdrive. Listening to old-fashioned music my grandparents loved helps me enter a relaxed state when I’m feeling anxious. It’s so calming!”

Dietla:
“Protecting my own peace has been a learning journey that began with defining what peace means to me. From poverty to trauma and beyond, I needed to free my mind from societal standards that were not prepared for me and live my truth. My truth is that everyone has the right to have a voice, and I hope to amplify the voices of those who feel like theirs is not being heard. Humor and levity really help me enjoy the ups and downs of a turbulent world.”

Romaro:
“What do I do to look after my mental health and stay in a good mental state? I pray, I read, I try to detach myself from the worries of the world, I get closer to my spiritual self, because I know my spiritual self is guiding me, so I just have to follow that guidance, and everything will be fine.”

Kevin:
“Exercise. I try to exercise every morning before I go to work. It’s something I need to do, but it’s one of the things I hate to do the most, so I exercise first thing in the morning and get the worst part of my day out of the way. At the end of the day, I play video games to unwind. That’s pretty much all I do to look after my mental health.”

Daniel:
“I check in with myself regularly. I am easily influenced so I know it’s best to get away from people and prioritize time for myself. Giving myself time alone to reflect and enjoy each day helps me protect and maintain my health and mental wellbeing.”
