Rep. Nancy Mace believes President Joe Biden is hatching a nefarious plot to unfairly defeat former President Donald Trump in Thursday night’s debate: vitamins.
Sen. Mace (R-SC) sounded the alarm about this dire prospect in a Newsmax interview shared on X on Thursday morning.
“How much Adderall are you going to give him?” Mace asked. “How many vitamins are you going to take?”
Trump and his fellow conservatives have floated the idea for days that Biden might use performance-enhancing drugs during the debate.
Political analysts have suggested Trump fears his attacks on Biden have lowered the hurdle he has to clear to win and is trying to prepare his base for his defeat.

“There is no evidence that Biden has used or plans to use performance-enhancing drugs,” wrote Hannah Knowles, a political reporter for The Washington Post, “but Trump and his allies have widely spread the unfounded claims.”
Mace appears to be the first to shift the conversation to vitamins, which became a hot topic Thursday afternoon when her name trended on X.
“Republicans like Nancy Mace insist that President Biden be given ‘vitamins’ before the debates,” humorist Paul Rudnick wrote. “I once took potassium and Centrum Silver and woke up two days later in Las Vegas married to a flight attendant.”
“Does Nancy Mace think vitamins are wrong?” @JoyceSmileBig wrote. “I hope you all understand the same thing I do.”
“How many vitamins? Really?” asked public health activist Irwin Redner. “Nancy, this is not a personal criticism, but this is one of the stupidest criticisms ever made against anyone, much less someone running for high office. You think people who take vitamins aren’t qualified? You’re overstepping your bounds. Even the crew over there must be laughing their heads off.”
“Don’t forget the vitamins,” X-user Maggie May replied. “Stupid—According to @NancyMace, that gives Biden an edge over their Kool-Aid Jesus.”
