Hello everyone, first off, I apologize for not updating you for so long (I’ve been pretty ill but am finally getting better).
Have you ever noticed that witchcraft gets oversimplified on social media? I have. This can be really harmful, so I thought I’d address some of these…
★Claim: Witches aren’t something you can buy!!!
★Actually… supporting witch spirituals and witch businesses by buying goods and services from witches is a normal part of the community. This has been going on since the barter system was in place and witches weren’t called witches…
It’s a really long time in human history. Trade is natural. Let’s not demonize it.
★Claim: Witches don’t wear clothes!
★Well, actually… I know it’s frustrating when it’s all appearance and no substance. I really do. But do you know how lucky we are to have access to and be able to wear “witchy” clothes? And there are witches who make and sell clothes. The magic of color in clothes and the magic of jewelry have been around since ancient times. Magic is definitely something to wear!!! If someone chooses to dress like a witch… is that okay?

★Claim: Witches don’t post…
★Actually…I believe this wasn’t sent through the mail, but posted online. So…Witch censorship? Absolutely not. Witches have been writing about their experiences for a long time, which (hopefully) has become a good resource for others. Writing online isn’t much different. There are good books that are useful, and there are books that people don’t think are. Critical thinking is key, but unfortunately, so is seeing through the AI-written nonsense.
★Claim: Witches don’t behave like that…
★Actually… this part of the post is implying that there’s a difference between pretending to be something and embodying it. Again, I understand the frustration. Sure, there are people out there who claim to be spiritual and scam people by selling fake stuff out of China, so I get it. But here’s the problem with the meme.
Your actions are how you embody.
And unless a witch is knowingly deceiving people, no one has the right to dictate what she does.
Many blessings,
Joey Morris
