As cases of hypothyroidism increase worldwide and have serious health implications, a new herbal medicine called “Thyrogrit” has emerged as a promising alternative to conventional hormone replacement therapy.
‘Thyrogrit’, developed by Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali, aims to revolutionise the treatment of this increasingly prevalent disease.
Hypothyroidism is an underactive thyroid gland that can lead to serious health problems, including heart disease, infertility, and impaired brain development in children.
Current treatment for hypothyroidism is usually lifelong hormone replacement therapy, which helps manage symptoms but does not provide a cure.
However, based on the extensive and ancient science of Ayurveda, Patanjali has developed a herbal medicine called Thyrogrit that “helps restore the thyroid gland.”
A new study conducted on rats with induced hypothyroidism has found that the Ayurvedic drug Thyrogrit not only restored the thyroid gland affected by hypothyroidism but also reversed kidney damage caused by the disease.

“Patanjali is proud that this study has been published in the world-renowned peer-reviewed journal Clinical Phytoscience, providing modern scientists and researchers with insights into innovative Ayurvedic medical research,” Patanjali said in a press release.
The research paper can be found here.
Acharya Balkrishna said Patanjali’s groundbreaking discovery would bring new hope to people suffering from thyroid diseases around the world.
He said that all those associated with Patanjali are committed to making the world disease-free and will continue to work hard for this noble cause.
