We can help with all of the above. Silver Linings Wellbeing is an expert-run online wellness platform with a library of over 200 workout, meditation and nutrition videos, all of which are free to access. Sadie Reid of Get The Gloss has been a fan for a few years now; you can see her being grilled by founder Chrissy in the video, and she’s seriously impressed. “I have two small kids, so only having 20 minutes to work out is important to me, and I can do one every day,” she says. “Unlike Chrissy, I definitely do not have “I’m a ballet dancer and not particularly flexible, so I love being able to train in the privacy of my own home. It makes me feel more confident than in a group class.” Sadie also says that regularly doing Chrissy’s routine has improved her running ability. “The little movements and stretches reduce muscle tension. I experience less pain, discomfort and discomfort while running, and I’ve had fewer injuries.”
From ballerina to businesswoman
These are all great ideas from Chrissie Sand, a Pilates, yoga and ballet instructor and choreographer with 20 years’ experience in the wellbeing industry. Chrissie is a former dancer with The Royal Ballet and Birmingham Royal Ballet, and her understanding of the power of Pilates comes from very personal experience of using it as part of her rehabilitation after injuring her ankle whilst dancing.
In 2016, Chrissy launched Silver Linings Wellbeing, focusing on wellness retreats on Kamalame Cay, a beautiful private island in the Bahamas, and she still runs these transformative trips (one to add to your travel bucket list straight away) alongside corporate wellbeing events.
Like many businesses, the pandemic forced a rethink and Chrissy moved much of her business online – this presented a huge opportunity. She built a wellness hub and digital studio with a strong sense of community and free resources just a click away – perfect for the way we currently live our lives.
