HPSC Ayurvedic Medical Officer Recruitment 2024
As per the advertisement released by HPSC, a total of 805 vacancies are available for the post of Ayurvedic Medical Officer (Group B) in the Health and Ayurvedic Department. Candidates may wish to know that out of the total, 427, 161, 88, 48 and 81 vacancies have been reserved for General, Scheduled Caste, Backward Classes – A, Backward Classes – B and Economically Weaker Sections respectively.
HPSC Ayurvedic Medical Officer Eligibility Criteria 2024
The eligibility requirements (educational qualification and age limit) for the post of Ayurvedic Medical Officer (Group B) are given below.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates should have a degree in Ayurvedic medicine, in addition to knowledge of Hindi at matriculation level and be registered with the Haryana State Board of Ayurveda/Unani Medicine (Haryana State Indian Medical Association).
- Age Limit: Candidates should be between 23 and 42 years of age as on 1st June 2024. The upper age limit for BC-A, BC-B and Schedule Castes is 5 years.
HPSC Ayurvedic Medical Officer Application Fee 2024
To apply for the recruitment of Ayurvedic Medical Officer (Group B) in the Haryana Department of Health & Ayurveda, individuals belonging to General or Backward Classes (Creamy Layer) have to pay Rs 1,000 as application fee. SC, BC (NCL), EWS, Veterans and all women candidates have to pay Rs 250 only.
Note: Applicants should know that candidates not from Haryana, irrespective of whether they are male or female or belong to any category, will have to pay an application fee of Rs. 1,000/-. PwBD applicants from Haryana are exempt and do not have to pay even a single rupee.
HPSC Ayurvedic Medical Officer Selection Process 2024
The selection process for recruitment to the post of Ayurvedic Medical Officer (Group B) in the Department of Health and Ayurveda, State of Haryana will consist of two stages i.e. written test and interview.
Written test:
- If the authorities decide to conduct it, it will likely be held in August or September 2024 by the Haryana Public Service Commission.
- Candidates must know that the second stage of the selection process, i.e. to shortlist the candidates for interview, will be conducted in offline mode.
- If the HPSC decides to conduct the written exam, the syllabus along with the exam pattern will be released 4-6 days before the exam date.

- Candidates who pass the written test will be called for written examination.
- In case the written test is not conducted, candidates will be selected for interview on the basis of their academic performance.
- These will be held in person and are expected to take approximately 20-30 minutes per person.
- If the written exam is conducted, it may take place in October or November, if not, the interviews may take place in August or September 2024.
