BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI (FOX 2) – A perfectly positioned camera inside the vitamin section of Plum Market grocery store in Bloomfield Township captured four women stealing up to $7,000 worth of supplements and vitamins.
The Bloomfield Township Police Department is searching for four women who allegedly stuffed supplements and vitamins into their clothing in an attempt to clear shelves at Plum Market last week.
According to police, four women entered the store around 8 p.m. and attacked the vitamin section. Video released by police shows the first woman pushing a small grocery cart with at least one item in the basket up to the vitamin section.
A second woman, wearing a black dress and a white top, approached in the same way, while the first woman appeared to be pointing at a sales associate further down the aisle. Once everyone had left, the sales associates began removing items from the shelves.
As they were stuffing the vitamins into their clothes, a third woman in a long dress and white and blue top came over and joined them, followed by a fourth woman in a long light blue dress.
The fourth woman hands some items from the cart to the other women, who also hide items in their skirts.
All four women stand in front of a row of vitamins, pulling them off the shelves and hiding them in their clothes.
The fourth woman who arrived then left, while the other three women continued to take items from the shelves and hide them in their clothes.
The three remaining women then all leave and meet in another part of the store.
Bloomfield Township Police say four women stole up to $7,000 in vitamins and supplements.
The four women then walk off together after approximately three minutes.
Police say store managers in both Ann Arbor and West Bloomfield have reported similar crimes.
Bloomfield Township Police are investigating the incident and anyone with information is asked to contact the Bloomfield Township Police Department at 248-433-7755.
