Champion Pet Foods ACANA Brand Introduces Classic Recipes to the U.S.
According to ACANA, the new recipes contain familiar, nutritious ingredients pet owners recognize, including plenty of protein-rich animal ingredients, healthy grains, vegetables and fruits. The new recipes support overall dog health, including immune health, healthy skin and coat and good digestion. They are sold in 4-pound and 22.5-pound bags and come in three flavors.
- Chicken & Barley: Chicken and chicken meal are the main ingredients, and also contain pearl barley, peas, oats, lentils and fish oil.
- Salmon and Barley: Salmon is the primary ingredient, along with herring meal, pearl barley, peas, oats, lentils and other animal and plant ingredients.
- Beef and Barley: This recipe contains beef and beef meal as the main ingredients, along with pearl barley, peas, oats, pork meal, lentils and fish oil.
To introduce the new product, ACANA is partnering with Classic Recipe and a dog-friendly summer staple: movies in the parks, “Lights, Camera, Classics.” Classic Recipe will sponsor a series of movie nights in parks across Seattle, San Diego and Denver throughout the summer, where dogs can join in the fun and take part in classic movies.

As part of “Lights, Camera, Classics,” the team is also running a sweepstakes for consumers to share their favorite movies to watch with their dog, with one winner taking home a $5,000 prize.
