Azelis, a leading innovation services provider in the specialty chemicals and food ingredients industry, announces a new distribution agreement with BASF, an industry leader in the development of sustainable, high-quality nutritional ingredients. Effective immediately, Azelis will distribute BASF’s line of emulsifiers, medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs), plant sterol esters and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) products commonly used for nutritional fortification in bakery, beverages, retail and foodservice. The agreement strengthens Azelis’ horizontal value chain, expanding its presence in key food industry segments in China with a broader food ingredients portfolio and is a testament to the company’s long-standing commercial relationship with BASF.
With this mission, Azelis will enhance its food and nutritional product offerings to customers in China with ingredients that optimize yields, maximize ingredient potential and reduce food preparation times while generally improving the sensory and nutritional profile of food and beverage products.
BASF’s strong commitment to sustainability is aligned with Azelis’ strategy to provide innovative and sustainable formulations to its customers. The collaboration will enable the Group to meet the growing demand for sustainable formulations that enhance taste and nutrition, key aspects in the food and nutrition sector. The agreement will expand Azelis’ customer outreach and product offering in this sector.
