On Monday, PBS premieres a new season of “The Great American Recipe,” in which eight home cooks from around the country compete to bring their best recipes to the table. For the first time in three seasons, the show will feature an Alaskan chef. In this “Hometown” episode, Alaskan host Dave Waldron speaks with Anchorage resident Kim Shelley about getting discovered as a home cook, cooking on national TV and her role as a culinary ambassador for Alaska.
