Topping the list of hotel stays for many Hawaii-loving parents, Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea is known for its oceanfront location, five-star service and kid-friendly amenities. What these parents may not know yet is that the resort offers several new luxury wellness experiences that will not only make family vacations fun, but also refreshing. From oceanfront IV infusions to a new $5,100 “Wellness and Waves” tour, here are five unexpected wellness experiences parents can’t miss at Four Seasons Resort Maui.
Oceanfront Drip
An on-site wellness collaboration with Los Angeles-based health optimization and longevity center Next | Health allows Four Seasons Resort Maui guests to receive infusions and vitamin B12 injections on-site, as well as exosome, ozone and stem cell therapies.
Launching in 2022, this collaboration’s infusions may be of particular interest to jet-lagged parents and adults in need of a pick-me-up. The infusion menu includes a variety of targeted formulas, from overall longevity to gut health to muscle recovery. All infusions are administered by qualified nurses and take approximately 30 minutes to be absorbed. Those looking for some quiet time can get their services at the on-site Next | Health facility, while those looking for a naptime infusion can get one by the pool or seaside.
Four oceanview fountain pool cabanas offer maximum privacy, space and views.
A base with a great view
Travelers with young children especially know how difficult it can be to find shade and privacy at a crowded resort. Four Seasons Resort Maui offers cabanas in a variety of configurations and locations throughout the adult and family pools (70 of which are complimentary) and overlooking the ocean. In particular, the 11 oceanfront cabanas known as Sanctuaries are available from $395 with advance reservation or complimentary on the day, first come, first served.
Our most private and spacious option is our four Oceanview Fountain Pool Cabana. Starting at $1,250, you’ll enjoy complete privacy and access to a beachfront lawn overlooking the ocean. Your Oceanview Fountain Pool Cabana includes two lunch entrees and a bottle of Champagne or four cocktails. Lawn games like cornhole can be provided for kids upon request, and your preferred IV can be delivered to your cabana with a quick text to our on-site Next|Health nurse.
Swimming without children
Made famous by season one of HBO’s “White Lotus,” but already a cult favorite among adults looking for kid-free locations, the hotel’s Serenity Pool is the perfect spot for parents to wind down for the afternoon to reconnect with their partners over ube coladas and mai tais. With an infinity edge overlooking the Pacific Ocean and nearby islands, and a swim-up bar serving cocktails and lunch, the pool is a convivial, kid-free spot for indulgence.
Parents of children ages five and up can take advantage of the Kids for All Seasons program (the island’s only complimentary kids’ club), and for parents of children five and under, the hotel concierge can introduce you to reliable babysitting services.
Oceanfront Lomi Lomi
Of course, no trip to Hawaii would be complete without a lomilomi massage, but it’s surprisingly easy to enjoy by the sea. Tucked away to the side of the boardwalk between the Sanctuary Cabanas and the ocean, this unassuming thatched spa hut is a favorite with repeat guests. Inside, there are two massage tables where you can enjoy the hotel’s most requested spa service: an oceanfront lomilomi massage.
Hale is available for solo use, as is access to the adult pool, but Kids for All Seasons and nanny services are available for two-parent wellness getaways. Lomi Lomi massages are offered as 50- or 90-minute treatments, where a skilled massage therapist uses a range of essential oils to create a sensory experience that soothes muscles while listening to the sounds of lapping waves.
The new Waves & Wellness experience offers guests a private, deep blue snorkelling experience on the water. … [+]
Private Snorkel and SUP
The new Waves and Wellness program is suitable for all ages, as long as the kids can stand-up paddle, and offers a full morning of luxurious water exploration. The private, fully customizable catamaran experience begins with breakfast on board first thing in the morning, followed by a swim in the “deep blue” and snorkeling in the tropical waters. Once the sailing ends at Wailea Beach, a stand-up paddleboard (SUP) instructor will greet guests for a SUP yoga class against the serene coastline. At the end of the class, a green juice is served to conclude the experience. Rates start at $5,100.
