SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKBN) – The Circle of Friends Foundation will host a charity golf event at The Lake Club on Monday, June 17 to raise funds for mental health services in the Valley area.
The 38th annual Children’s Circle of Friends Foundation Golf Classic will feature an 18-hole course, food trucks, dinner and prizes.
Circle of Friends Foundation is a local non-profit dedicated to improving the mental health of children in the Valley. All donations will go towards services to support children’s mental health.
Joe Funt, president of the Circle of Friends Foundation, said more than 100 golfers will attend, with even more to come for the dinner, and he hopes to raise more than $50,000 for the charity.
“Let’s start young and have programs that specifically raise awareness of mental health and help them from childhood through to their teen years,” Fant said. “We always have openings. We always take donations. We always take last minute people.”
The Foundation continues to welcome golfers who would like to play in the tournament or attend the dinner, and anyone interested can call 330-301-6838 or email JFanto@YourPremierBank.com.
If you can’t attend but would like to donate, you can do so online. Fant said the foundation also accepts donations by credit card or check.
Registration for the golf event begins at 10 a.m. with teeing off starting at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, June 17 at the Lake Club.
