CEO Bert Albertse says this is just the beginning of Jet Set Travel, with plans to continue expanding across the U.S. and internationally.
JetSet Pilates has further solidified its presence in the vibrant Pilates market, reaching a new milestone of 50 franchised stores.
The Miami-based Pilates brand will begin franchising in 2022, expanding from Florida to New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, Georgia, Texas, Washington D.C., California, Colorado, Massachusetts, Utah and Australia.
“Reaching 50+ franchise locations is an incredible achievement that validates Jet Set’s vision,” said founder and brand president Tamara Galinsky. “Providing communities across the U.S. and Australia with a transformative Pilates experience that improves their mental and physical health and well-being has been incredibly rewarding.”
The Pilates brand hopes to expand its presence by introducing 50-minute full-body workouts and advanced reformers to meet demand for the popular exercise. Jet Set previously said it was looking at 600 franchise studios in the US alone.
“While 50 franchise locations is a major milestone, this is just the beginning of our journey,” said Jet Set Pilates CEO Bert Albertse. “We are focused on continued innovation and strategic expansion to bring the Jet Set experience to even more communities across the U.S. and abroad.”
One of Jet Set’s franchisees, NASM-certified personal trainer Gori Soli, is set to open a Jet Set in New York City’s famed SoHo neighborhood this summer. Inspired by the brand’s approach, Soli was a student and instructor before becoming a partner with Jet Set Pilates.
“Being in the industry for so long, I’ve tried a lot of different fitness concepts,” Soli recently told Athletech News, “but from my first JetSet class, I knew this was the culmination of a revolution in group and individual fitness. Every class is uniquely curated by the instructor with a harmonious playlist, making every student feel like a best friend. As both a student and instructor at this studio, I wanted to share this experience with everyone in the Big Apple.”

Following the opening of Jet Set’s Soho location, Gori has revealed plans to open further studios over the next few years.
Pilates Brand Meets Soaring Demand
Proponents of Pilates believe the exercise has numerous benefits, including improved posture, toned core, increased flexibility and coordination, stress relief, and increased strength and tone. The exercise was ranked #1 on ClassPass in 2023, proving Pilates’ popularity.
JetSet is one of the Pilates-based brands that has been growing recently.
Exponential Fitness’ most successful brand by location is Club Pilates, which has grown to 1,000 studios and is now available at sea through a partnership with Princess Cruises.
F45 Training has also made a big impact on the Pilates market with the launch of Vaura, a 50-minute workout. First launched in New York’s Upper East Side, Vaura offers club-like studios with mirrored ceilings, indirect lighting, and top-of-the-line sound systems. With plans to open more Vaura studios in the future, F45 is focused on growth as well. F45 has also launched FS8, which combines Pilates, yoga, and toning.
Last month, news broke that Solidcore, the Pilates-inspired boutique fitness brand founded by fitness entrepreneur Ann Mahlam, was considering a sale that could value the brand at more than $750 million, including debt. Solidcore has more than 100 locations and last year raised strategic funding from Kohlberg & Co. and existing investors, announcing plans to open 250 studios by 2028. Unlike many of its competitors, Solidcore is not operating under a franchise model.
