The beauty guru has revealed the affordable skincare products the women in her family swear by to combat the signs of ageing.
She said the anti-aging cream keeps her 90-year-old grandmother’s face smooth and soft.
She posted on Reddit’s 30 Plus Skincare forum in response to users raving about Ponds Cold Cream moisturizer.
Youthful Radiance
The Reddit user, who posted under the handle Manicpixieautistic, said the cream has helped keep his family’s skin in good condition.
“Oh, that’s right, I’ve been using it since I was a baby!!” she said.
“My mother, grandmother and my late great aunt all said that this product worked wonders for their skin and left them feeling beautiful and hydrated.”
“When I was a kid, my mom would apply it generously after a bath, and although I didn’t really understand it at the time, I’m so glad I know now!”
“My grandmother is in her 90s and her face is smooth, soft and elastic.”

According to the manufacturer, it is formulated to “deeply” hydrate the skin without clogging pores.
The Reddit user said that although she only uses the cream on her face, it has “amazing” effects on her body as well.
“This is the only moisturizer I’ve ever used and I don’t think I’ll ever switch to anything else,” she said.
“I know some people prefer creams with more active ingredients, but honestly, I like that it’s simple and I can trust it to lock everything in.”
She recommended using Pond’s Cold Cream with the blue lid, rather than the green one designed for removing makeup.
Miracle moisturizer
The post was liked, and hundreds of commenters on the thread shared their own experiences with the beauty cream.
“I used Pond’s cold cream all the time in my 20s,” one person said.
“For a 35 year old, I barely have any wrinkles (but still have those pesky 11 wrinkles that appear when you squint or frown in the sun for a few minutes!!).
“I was 11 and especially worried about it, so I bought Pond’s Anti-Wrinkle and my regular moisturizer too.
“I truly believe that the oldest and most basic skin care is the best…
“There must be a reason why expensive lotions and potions have been around for so long, even though they’re just loaded with extra ingredients you probably don’t need and dressed up in fancy packaging.”
Anti-Aging Tips and “Superstar” Products
Dr Anatalia Moore is a general practitioner and dermatologist with over 11 years of clinical experience.
She told the US Sun that her goal is to give patients the knowledge they need to take control of their skin conditions.
She said the basic fundamentals of a beauty routine remain the same at any age, including using an effective cleanser, moisturizer and sunscreen.
“Moisturizers are my favorite over products that contain active ingredients,” she says.
“Finding a balancing moisturizer that provides proper hydration and replenishes and locks in natural oils will literally stabilize your skin.
“This in itself can provide immediate relief from fine lines and skin texture, which are often exacerbated by dehydration.”
“It also allows the skin to function as it should.
“This can result in faster healing, fewer wrinkles and fine lines, fewer dermatitis and rosacea flare-ups, and shorter-lasting, less severe breakouts.”

“Works for all skin types and ages!” said another.
“I’m 20 years old and my brothers are 22 and 15. I introduced them to Ponds and they haven’t looked back since.
“It gives the skin a natural glow without feeling sticky.”
According to the American Academy of Dermatology, moisturizing products such as creams and ointments work best when applied to damp skin.
The thick cream is ideal for people with dry skin and those over 50 years of age.
If you’re not sure what’s best for your skin type, consult a dermatologist who can advise you on whether to use a lotion, gel, cream, or oil.
