This weekend is the perfect day to celebrate World Gin Day. It’s an annual event celebrating the juniper-flavored spirit and began as a day to enjoy and savor the spirit. Gin enthusiast Neil Houston came up with the idea to mark the first Gin Day in Birmingham, UK, on June 8, 2009. Emma Stokes, author of The Periodic Table of Cocktails, then took it over. From classic drinks like the Gin and Tonic and Negroni to innovative infusions and cocktails, there’s a drink for every palate.
