Browns Hotels & Resorts Unveils Logo for Ayugiri Ayurveda Wellness Resort Sigiriya
Browns Hotels & Resorts presents a fascinating reinterpretation of luxury wellness tourism with the unveiling of the stunning Ayugiri Ayurvedic Wellness Resort, Sigiriya.
This monumental event, which took place yesterday in a vibrant and tranquil setting, marks the beginning of a new chapter for Ayurveda wellness tourism in Sri Lanka.
Set amidst 54 acres of pristine splendor, Ayugiri features 22 en suites, distinguishing itself as the only luxury Ayurvedic wellness resort in the country with every room featuring a plunge pool, making it truly one of a kind. The Grand Opening of Ayugiri Ayurvedic Wellness Resort was a mesmerizing event, with guests enthralled by the melodies of flutists and violinists reverberating across the lush landscape of Sigiriya. As traditional drummers and dancers pumped vibrant energy into the air, Browns Hotels & Resorts CEO Exas Wijeratne, Japanese Ambassador Kotaro Katsuki and General Manager Bhuwaneka Bandara unveiled the resort’s new logo, marking a moment of significance in the presence of distinguished guests from the French Embassy, Ayurvedic and wellness enthusiasts, Sigiriya community, LOLC Holdings and Browns Group. Inspired by the lotus flower held by the graceful queen depicted in the infamous Sigiriya fresco, Ayugiri encapsulates the essence of life. Just as the lotus emerges pure and serene from the murky depths, Ayugiri invites you on a journey of purity and rejuvenation in harmony with the balance of mind, body and soul, the essence of nature, the resonance of culture and the healing wisdom of ancient Ayurveda.
Resident physician Kema Priyadarshani, who is also the former Director of the Sri Lanka Ayurvedic Research Hospital and Ayurvedic Teaching Hospital, brings four decades of extensive experience and expertise to Ayugiri. Ayugiri’s state-of-the-art Ayurvedic treatment centre, Ayuwatha, features a doctor’s consultation room, seven treatment rooms, herbal baths, steam and sauna facilities and an authentic Behes Oruwa, providing personalised treatment tailored to the individual needs of every guest.
Named after the Sanskrit word ‘Swastha’ which means health and balance, Ayugiri’s Swastha package offers each guest a personalised journey to restore balance to the three doshas within the body.
