In his 48-year quest for personal and spiritual betterment after participating in a recovery program, Dr. Michael Barnard has read hundreds of books of all religions and philosophies. In this book, Wisdom for (S)Ages, he has selected 30 books by 30 of the wisest speakers and authors he has ever encountered and blends their philosophies and beliefs with his own to provide the reader with the best spiritual wisdom possible. Michael’s hope is that this wisdom will provide insight and guidance to a more rewarding and satisfying life and will guide the reader on to even more wisdom from these 30 “wise men.”
About the Author
Dr. Michael Bernard retired seven years ago after 46 years in private practice in orthodontics. He currently teaches orthodontics part-time at The Ohio State University and Seton Hill University and volunteers reading to children at Akron Children’s Hospital. Previously, he taught 8th grade religious education at St. Paul’s Church in North Canton, Ohio for 35 years.
Michael’s hobbies include biking local trails and kayaking on the lake near his home. He travels frequently both domestically and internationally and loves reading and writing. He has been in recovery programs for 48 years and has pursued higher spiritual understanding through Bible study twice a week. Michael has four adult children, two in their 50s and two in their 30s (adopted), and one 18-month-old grandson.
